The NS500 is a configurable indexer that attaches to the side of any Sigma II amplifier from 30 watts to 55 kW and accepts Profibus commands from Profibus masters. The NS500 can store up to 50 positions, perform multi-speed position moves, and position relative to a registration input. In addition, the NS500 has a station mode well-suited for dial tables and works seamlessly with absolute encoders. Target Position or any of the configurable parameters in the NS500 or the Sigma II can be sent in one 8 byte Profibus message. The open architecture and modular hardware provide the most flexible solution for indexing applications.
