The Sigma family of servo motors has taken the next technological step using high-resolution serial encoder feedback. Position information is transmitted to the amplifier allowing full error checking which eliminates position error caused by electrical noise and prevents runaway conditions. This all-digital feedback design enables the amplifier to automatically recognize the motor and optimize settings.
All Yaskawa linear servo motors feature plug-and-play connection with the Sigma-5 amplifiers through use of automatic motor recognition and serial encoder technology. Yaskawa’s linear servo motors are supplied as components or an integrated slide.

Direct Drive - View Solid Models Catalog on TraceParts
Direct drive technology eliminates backlash, reduces the number of mechanical components, and provides a stiff mechanical system for highly dynamic applications. The SGMCS servo motor line is designed for direct drive applications where the load is directly attached to the motor surface.
- SGMCS - Direct drive (0.02-3kW), high inertia
