- Each motor should be protected by it own overload relay. This is because multiple motors appear as one load to the AC drive as they are connected to the same drive output. terminals. The Ac drive cannot distinguish the individual load on each motor.
- Motors in the circuit cannot use an encoder for closed loop operation. The drive has only one input for encoder feedback.
- The drive must be operated in V/f motor control mode.
- The drive should be stopped when opening or closing output motor contactors. A drive fault may occur if output contactors are opened under load.
