| Question: | Is it possible to use the second Ethernet port, CN11B, on the MP2600iec as a separate, independent network connection? |
| Answer: | Yes it is possible. The same protocols are supported on both ports. However, CN11B can only be configured through the web interface and is not supported by the Hardware Configuration software to setup individual addressing of Modbus and Ethernet variables.
If your network configuration does not allow a PC connection, use CN11A as the main network connection to an HMI, or other external Ethernet/Modbus devices and CN11B as the programming port for MotionWorks IEC. The default IP address for this port is 192.168.2.1
NOTE: The ethernet ports must be on different subnets to operate properly. |
