AC drives are available with 3 modes of speed control that provide 3 choices of speed precision, V/f control provides 2 % speed regulation and best stability, open loop vector control provides 1% speed regulation without speed feedback, and closed loop vector control provides 0.1% speed regulation by using a machine-mounted pulse generator for closed loop speed feedback.
For systems using servomotors and servo amplifiers, precision is even greater. Yaskawa offers a variety of Solution Packages for sortation in the Material Handling industry. Synch-Belts can be used for induction, providing product phasing to sortation machines such as cross conveyors and tilt trays. The Merge Belt Solution Package can provide dynamic product merging and induction using one Yaskawa controller to reduce the overall floor space of the sortation system. |
