Yaskawa SF₆ gas rotary-arc circuit breakers are rated for applications in power generating plants, substations, and industrial plants at 3.6kV to 15kV. Yaskawa SF₆ gas rotary-arc circuit breakers are safer to operate than vacuum and other competitive types because a two-stage pressure switch in each of the interrupters continuously monitors the gas pressure. This series of Yaskawa SF₆ gas rotary-arc circuit breakers offer excellent interrupting characteristics, comparable to air-magnetic breakers, with continuous current ranging from 600 to 3000 amps. In addition, the surgeless nature of the current interruption eliminates the need for surge arrestors to dampen voltage spikes related to current chopping and switching surges.
