Yaskawa offers its most powerful machine controller in the MP2000 series. MP2000 products synchronize sequence control and motion control in one tightly integrated platform. Position, speed, torque, and phase control such as electronic gearing and electronic cam profiles are available for complex motion in case-packing, form-fill-seal, labeling, and flow-wrapping machinery. A high speed motion network, Mechatrolink-II, controls Sigma II and Sigma III amplifiers, inverters, and I/O blocks at 10 Mbps. Rotary, linear, and direct drive servomotors are available in 110, 230, and 480 VAC options. The controller's modular design can be self-configured to reduce setup time by automatically recognizing networked amplifiers and option modules. MotionWorks (MPE770) software provides an integrated development environment for all programming and troubleshooting.
The MP2300 is a compact controller, offering three open slots to allow expansion of I/O and connectivity with Ethernet, DeviceNet, and Profibus network options. Up to three Mechatrolink-II networks can be synchronized and simultaneously controlled by one MP2300. Each Mechatrolink-II network can control up to 20 nodes of which 16 can be Sigma servo amplifiers. Up to nine axes can be controlled in 1 millisecond and up to 16 axes in two milliseconds.
The MP2200 expands on the capabilities of the MP2300 by providing a larger, more configurable rack system with 9 slots. Other extended features of the MP2200 include: 233 MHz CPU, removable Compact Flash memory, USB serial interface, and the ability to control up to 256 axes.
MP2000 system support is available through Yaskawa certified Motion Solution Centers (MSC). Our motion control distributors and integrators have attended rigorous training on MP series controllers and MotionWorks software to meet all certification requirements.
