| Question: | The P5/GPD506 inverter is displaying an "OH2" fault that will not clear. The heat sink fan(s) is running, and the drive is cool. Why won't it clear? |
| Answer: | On 230V, 30+ HP units, and 460V 30-250 HP P5/506 units, there is an internal cooling fan inside the front cover on some models. This fan is 24VDC and has 3 wires. The white fan wire is for a hall-effect speed sensor. If this internal stirring fan stops running for any reason, with power to the inverter, an "OH2" fault will be displayed and operation cannot continue until this is corrected.
Check for a failed or clogged internal coolin fan inside the fron cover of the drive.
The GPD506/P5 instruction manual is being revised to reflect the correct OH2 fault indication.
