| Question: | What settings are needed to configure the E7 Bypass for serial communication control in AUTO mode and keypad speed control in HAND mode?
|
| Answer: | The mechanical H-O-A controls on the door of the E7 bypass will handle switching the E7 to keypad speed control when in HAND position or serial communication control when in the AUTO position.
Yaskawa presets the E7's parameters to function with the options ordered on each E7 bypass. The proper settings are described in the bypass schematic that ships with each E7 bypass. (see e7b-00.pdf attached)
A section of the E7 bypass drawing is shown below in Table 2.
When setting up an E7 bypass, the parameter settings on page two of the BYPASS schematic (e7b-00 attached pdf file) must be followed exactly for the specific options supplied with the E7 bypass.
(Read table 2 from the left by first choosing which bypass options are installed then follow the selected row across for the correct parameter settings.
Parameter "B1-01 Frequency Reference Selection" is used to set which speed reference the drive uses in the HAND switch position.
Parameter "B1-01 Frequency Reference Selection"needs be set only once to a "0 :Operator" from then on, the E7 speed can be controlled from the digital operator (keypad) when in the HAND mode.
