Factory Focus Supervisor Engineer
Factory Focus Supervisor Engineer - Manage all production activities and manufacturing engineering projects for an entire production/product line(s); plan and supervise the day-to-day activities of non-exempt employees; initiate and communicate a variety of personnel actions, e.g., performance evaluations, scheduling and/or approving overtime, etc.; ensure consistent application of organizational policies; plan and manage the assurance of quality for products manufactured for the production line(s) supervised; plan and control the quality, configuration, and introduction of all manufactured product; responsible for the assurance of customer requirements as it relates to product quality and function; lead multiple projects and support lower level engineers with their project; coordinate activities of departments both internal and external to OC Operations; work under minimal to no supervision and has the authority to make decisions directly related to product quality, product cost, product design, operational processes, and work methods; independently makes decisions related to topics and issues, which are complex in nature and typically involve participation from many parties including customers and suppliers. Supervise 12 Associates (Floor Assemblers).
Requirements - Bachelor of Science or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of engineering experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment. Special skills - 3 years of manufacturing experience with leadership duties; 1 year of experience with best practices related to manufacturing, and inventory control (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, vendor managed inventory); 1 year of experience with business operations including production planning, scheduling, MRP, ATP, and capacity planning; 2 years of experience with Product Data Management and its impact on Supply Chain Management; 3 years of experience with mechanical fabrication processes (sheet metal fabrication and finishing principles including painting and plating, welding, die casting, turning, and stamping, as well as cabling assemblies); and 3 years of experience with quality control methodologies such as root cause failure analysis, corrective actions processes, SPC, MTBF, FMEA, and FIT. Occasional domestic travel required.
