1/2 - 500HP

The E7 Drive was designed exclusively for Commercial HVAC applications. All features were designed for this purpose, including Building Automation communications.

Metasys N2, APOGEE FLN and Modbus were embedded. EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP and LonWorks were plug-in options. The drive was plenum rated for variable torque applications. Anti-windmilling, motor preheat, energy-savings, and PI setpoint control were standard. Many options were available.

OPR - Fault Code Description Posted Date: 02/17/2016 Answer: Digital Operator Display Text: OPR Oper Disconnect Description: Digital Operator Connection Fault The Drive will stop if the digital operator is removed when the Drive is commanded to run through the digital operator Possible causes: The digital operator is not attached The digital operator connector is broken The "HAND" key is enabled when it shouldn't be Corrective Actions: Attach the digital operator Check the digital operator connector Verify the setting of o2-06. 0: Disabled - The drive will not fault when the digital operator is removed. 1: Enabled - The drive will fault (OPR) and coast to stop when the operator is removed. If using software 3020 above, o2-15 should be set to "0" to disable "HAND" key on the digital operator. I am using the MOP function on the 7 series drives and on my deceleration; the drive is following the speed pot instead of the deceleration time. Why is that? Posted Date: 02/28/2013 Answer: This Problem does not present itself very often. In nearly all MOP operation, connection is usually not used on terminals A1 and A2. The analog inputs can be used and, by default are used for speed limiting. When deceleration is done to the drive, the drive will follow the speed limit. Does installation of an AC Drive near a large capacitor bank (power-factor correction) require special consideration? Posted Date: 10/27/2005 Answer: Yes. Capacitors are put across the AC power line to correct for lagging power factor due to inductive loads. Motors, relay coils, transformers, etc. are inductive loads. Many times capacitors are switched on and off the line as demand changes. Unfortunately, this switching results in large voltage spikes on the power line which can damage the drives rectifier circuit. To prevent damage use a 5% line reactor on the drive's input. If overvoltage faults are indicated, add dynamic braking -- this will clamp the DC bus.
