Yes, the FP605 will have 600V drive models. Development is ongoing and planned for future release.

Wired connections between DriveWizard Mobile and the Yaskawa AC drive require mobile devices support USB -OTG. Most Android mobile devices include USB-OTG, however Apple mobile devices do not; therefore, the only way Apple devices can communicate with Yaskawa drive is via Bluetooth, which requires the optional Bluetooth version of the keypad. Android mobile devices support both methods (cable connection and Bluetooth).

DriveWizard Mobile with the FP605 requires mobile devices to support USB-OTG (USB On-The-Go). Most Android mobile devices include USB-OTG, but most Apple mobile devices do not include USB-OTG capability.

FP605 drives are made at Yaskawa’s Buffalo Grove, Illinois, facility.

The FP605 will be a complement to the GA800 with specialized features suited to the industrial fan and pump market.

Yaskawa DriveCloud is free storage for your specific configuration information pertaining to your drives. It allows you to store things like parameter sets, application notes, photos, etc. unique to each of your Yaskawa drives with their own serial number and your account credentials. Your information is secure and only accessible by you. DriveWizard Mobile and the DriveCloud support these Yaskawa AC drive products: GA800, GA500, FP605, HV600, and HV600 Bypasses. DriveWizard Mobile supports the newest generation of Yaskawa AC drives and does not support previous generation Yaskawa AC drives.

The drive is suitable for circuits that supply not more than 100,000 RMS symmetrical amperes, 240 Vac maximum (200 V Class), 480 Vac maximum (480 V Class).

The FP605 +24 VDC power supply can provide up to 150 mA.

The FP605 is capable of 400 Hz output in V/f control and PM open loop vector control (OLV/PM). EZ open loop vector (EZOLV) will output up to 120 Hz.

You can connect via Bluetooth up to 10 m (33 ft) in free air. Any obstructions can reduce this distance.

The FP605 has a safe torque off (STO) circuit providing two safe disable inputs and one EDM output (via multi-function digital output) according to EN ISO 13849-1 (PL e (Cat. 3)), IEC/EN 61508 SIL3.

The FP605 is designed to last ten years. This is based on 80% load, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week in a 40 ºC ambient temperature.

FP605 keypads and mechanical kits are different and are not supported on previous generation products. The following remote mount keypad adaptors are available for the FP605.

There are several types of drives available as standard: IP20/UL Type 1 and IP55/UL Type 12, IP55/UL Type 12 with switch, and IP20/Protected Chassis for larger horsepower models.

The FP605 carton includes a paper copy of the following:

 - Quick Start Procedure – very similar to simple diagram based instructions as seen with consumer products
 - Installation and Primary Operation – manual including mechanical, electrical, and basic programming
 - Drilling & Mounting template – included for frames 1 through 6 for the customer to easily layout panels for drilling prior to mounting

The comprehensive technical manual is available online and available in a hard copy via Yaskawa literature fulfillment.

Most P1000 option cards can be reused on the FP605. Below is a compatibility matrix for your reference.  If flashing of the option card is recommended or required, please contact your local distributor or Yaskawa salesman for assistance.

The new DriveWizard® Industrial has not only undergone a cosmetic upgrade but also has a new feature to support the FP605 data logging function. It is compatible with the new generation of drives like the FP605, the 1000 series, and previous generations already supported. It also supports parameter set conversion from P1000 to FP605 and works seamlessly with DriveWizard Mobile parameter sets.

Yes, the FP605 is conformal coated to meet IEC60721-3-3, 3C2, 3S2.

DriveWorksEZ is only available on the following industrial products: GA800; GA500.

DriveWizard Industrial has a project conversion program that can quickly and easily convert your P1000 parameters for use in a FP605.

You can log up to twelve monitors if your sampling time is 100 ms or greater.
If your sampling time is less than 100 ms, you can log up to four monitors.

To accommodate design features, the FP605 form factor will not match the P1000. See the FP605 dimensional drawings for details on its new outline. 

DriveWizard Industrial is designed to interpret the data and provide a graphical representation of the information.

The microSD card can be removed from the keypad, inserted into your PC’s SD card reader, and opened using DriveWizard Industrial.

Communication parameters can be made active in the drive WITHOUT the need to power cycle the drive. This can be accomplished by changing parameter H5-20 for Modbus RTU or F6-15 if using a network option card.

The FP605 is IP20/UL Type 1 standard through 75 HP at 240 V and 125 HP at 480 V. The FP605 IP20/Protected Chassis units do have UL Type 1 end cap kits available. View list.

Yes, every FP605 has a built-in reactor. A 5% split choke is built-in both positive and negative DC bus legs as standard for all IP20/UL Type 1, IP55/UL Type 12, and IP55/UL Type 12 with switch models. A 3% DC link on the positive BUS is provided for IP20/Protective Chassis designs.

Yes, you can have a mix of GA800, FP605, and GA500 drives for gateway mode.
