The GPD 515/G5 however, can be programmed in at least seven languages. 	Can the G5 GPD515 drive in flux vector mode can run above 1750 RPM/60 Hz. If so what parameters would need to be changed to accomplish this. We only want to go to 2100 RPM/72 Hz. To run up to 72Hz, all that you need to do is to set parameter E1-04=72Hz for maximum speed and then set your frequency reference to 72Hz. 	Can the 'run' contact output of the GPD 515/G5 be used to release a mechanical brake? Posted Date: 07/13/2004 Answer: Yes. The contact output (pins 9 & 10) is rated 250VAC, 1Amp or less or 30VDC, 1Amp or less. The function of contact output is programmable by parameter H2-01. Set H2-01 = 37. This will energize the contact during operation but not during DC injection to prevent excessive load slippage at start and stop. Unlike the drive itself, this card has current-sinking inputs which allows the use of an external power supply or PLC DC output card with current-sourcing (PNP) outputs. 	Can a negative speed reference be used to command the drive to reverse direction when using the Profibus option? Posted Date: 01/10/2003 Answer: Motor rotation cannot be reversed by inputting a negative speed reference when using the Profibus option. Negative speed reference values are not recognized and should not be used to reverse direction of the motor. To reverse motor rotation, a reverse run command must be provided.
