Why does an MP2600iec get alarm 3407 010C “10Mbps Ethernet not supported” after it is power cycled? Posted Date: 03/08/2019 Answer: When an MP2600iec drops the Ethernet connection to a PC due to a power cycle, some PC’s set their Ethernet connection to 10mbps. When the MP2600iec re-establishes the Ethernet connection, it detects the 10mbps connection and it creates an alarm because the MP2600iec does not support 10mbps connections. After this alarm occurs, the PC cannot communicate to the MP2600iec. To avoid this alarm, always use an Ethernet switch or hub when connecting a PC to an MP2600iec. If using an Ethernet switch or hub is not an option, the connection can be recovered by unplugging the Ethernet cable and then plugging it back in. Why does Alarm Code '3407 0204 - Unable to set configured network default gateway' appear and how can it be remedied? Posted Date: 11/12/2013 Answer: The Default Gateway provides a route for the MPiec controller to use when communicating with devices on remote networks. The Default gateway address is used when the controller is on a different subnet than the remote device. Solution: If the MPiec will not be on a network, set the Default Gateway to be the same as the controller IP Address to avoid the warning "3407 0204 - Gateway not found". If the MPiec will be on a network, set the Default Gateway based on the router/switch settings. Use the built-in web server of the MPiec controller to configure the IP address and Gateway. - Navigate to the MPiec controllers IP address using Internet Explorer and click on Login... - (If using Internet Explorer 10 or greater, see other FAQs to set the browser in Compatibility Mode.) - Login: Admin (case-sensitive) - Default Password differs slightly depending on product: -- MP2300Siec --> MP2300S -- MP2310iec --> MP2310 -- MP2600iec --> MP2600 -- MP3200iec --> MP3200 1) Navigate to Ethernet Config page from the menu tree. 2) Under Global Settings, enter the Default Gateway. 3) Click Update Global Settings 4) Reboot the controller. Why do Android mobile devices support a USB-On-the-Go (OTG) connection between DriveWizard Mobile and the Yaskawa drive, but Apple iOS devices do not? Posted Date: 06/19/2022 Answer: Wired connections between DriveWizard Mobile and the Yaskawa AC drive require mobile devices support USB -OTG. Most Android mobile devices include USB-OTG, however Apple mobile devices do not; therefore, the only way Apple devices can communicate with Yaskawa drive is via Bluetooth, which requires the optional Bluetooth version of the keypad. Android mobile devices support both methods (cable connection and Bluetooth). Why can’t I update my MP23xxiec controller to version 3 firmware? Posted Date: 10/26/2015 Answer: IF YOU SEE THE “Firmware Update Failed!” SCREEN DO NOT REBOOT or the controller can become unusable. Click on “update the firmware” and select the same firmware file that was on the controller. Version 3 firmware for the MP23xxiec controllers contains extra code to present a modern web interface. This has caused the version 3 firmware to consume more memory than the version 2 firmware. Some users will find that they cannot upgrade the firmware if a project is stored on the controller. Also, we have found that some archives created in version 2 cannot be loaded onto version 3 controllers. To upgrade your MP23xxiec controller to version 3: 1. Make sure you have a copy of the project. You may need to load this project manually. 2. Create an archive of the project and save it. 3. Delete all user files (the project) from the controller. 4. Upgrade the firmware. 5. Install the archive. 6. If the archive installation fails, load the project manually, by opening the project, opening Hardware Configuration, saving the configuration to the controller and rebooting, and compiling and downloading the project.
