Other than OLV/PM parameters, is there other causes of OPE08? Posted Date: 11/27/2012 Answer: Although oPE08 is described as 'A function has been set that cannot be used in the motor control method selected', there is a specific parameter that, on the surface, has very little to do with the motor control method. This parameter is L6-02 and L6-14, Torque Detection Level 1 and Motor Underload Protection Level at Minimum Frequency, respectively. If L6-02 < L6-14, oPE08 will be triggered. Because the L6 parameters have to do with Torque Detection, it was determined this was related to motor control method, i.e. Torque, instead of Current (see attached). On the V7 Drive are the Logic inputs and the Logic Common terminal (SC) electrically isolated from the Frequency Reference Common (FC)? Posted Date: 07/13/2004 Answer: Yes. The Logic Inputs (S1..S7) and Logic Common (SC) are electrically isolated from all other terminals including FC and chassis ground. In fact all circuit board connections are DC isolated from chassis ground. However, 'Frequency Common' (FC) is 'OV' (read 'zero volts') which is the circuit board common. On the V1000 series drive, should the H1, HC circuit be used with an external 24V supply? Furthermore, the safety directive EN61508, will no longer meet its requirements. Therefore, using the internal power supply for this circuit is the only supported wiring of this circuit. On the GPD 515/G5, If Terminal 1 to 11 are closed, but the GPD515/G5 inverter still does not run. What is wrong? The motion controller must monitor the linear encoder feedback from both the x and x'. The x' axis must track the position of the x axis. Another alternative is to set-up a master/slave relationship using only one axis of a motion controller. My drive has a CPF25 fault on it, my V1000 manual has no information on this alarm. What are some troubleshooting techniques to apply? Posted Date: 10/29/2012 Answer: The V1000 has a built-in EEPROM. When the CPU reads from the EEPROM, it looks for a 4 byte "Copy protect" code. If the terminal board is not connected, the CPU will be unable to read this (see attached) and give a CPF25 alarm. Additionally, if the memory in the EEPROM on the terminal are not congruent, the CPF25 alarm will show. In this case we will need to initialize the EEPROM by: 1. go into factory level A1-04 = 606 2. change access level to A1-01 = 606 3.
