Is it possible to isolate or split the encoder output signal from an SGDH PG output?

Answer:

Yes, the best way to split the encoder output signal from an SGDH amplifier (i.e. connecting the PG output to multiple receivers) is to use a differential signal splitter. BEI Technologies sells an Optically Isolated Encoder Driver Module (three channels Differential) which does the following:

1. Provides optical isolation of three complimentary signals (A & /A, B & /B, Z & /Z)
2. Allows PG connections up to 500 ft. in length
3. Allows encoder splitting to up to 8 receivers
