	Does the Modbus port on the V7 Drive need a termination resistor? Posted Date: 10/27/2005 Answer: Only the last drive (receiver) on the bus needs its 120-ohm termination resistor connected. Dipswitch SW2 section 1 connects the termination resistance between the R+ and R- terminals. The ohmeter should read about 120 ohms across the R+ and R- terminals. If very high or infinite, then no resistor is connected - check SW2 and test the ohmeter. If 60 ohms then two are connected; 40 ohms then three are connected; etc. Again, check SW2 in all the connected drives to make sure only the last drive on the network has a 120 ohm terminating resistor closed by SW2. Note: Earlier versions of the V7 Drive were named GPD 315/V7, GPD 315 or VS Mini V7.
