FAQ: Do Yaskawa drives have a lock-out prohibiting setting or changing of parameters?

Use the following instructions to obtain write access for the drives described below:
For the V7 drive:
Parameter n001 controls the access to all of the parameters. A setting of "0" allows no parameters to be changed, while settings of "4" or '5' allow all parameters to be changed. Settings "1" through "3" are increments of the level of access allowed.
For the P5 or PC5 or GPD506 drive:
Parameter n001 controls the access to all of the parameters. A setting of "0" allows no parameters to be changed, while settings of "3" allows all parameters to be changed. Settings "1" and "2" are increments of the level of access allowed.
For the G5 or GPD515 - General Purpose Drive , G5HHP - Hi Horsepower G5 Drive:
Parameter A1-01 controls access to all parameters that are available in the control method being used. A setting of "Advanced" in this parameter allows all of the available parameters of the current control method to be changed. Some parameters are not available in some control methods. Refer to Appendix 1 in the technical manual.
