FAQ: What is the latest driver for the EXOR HMI connected to an SMC controller, and does it provide hardware handshaking?

NOTE: To use hardware handshaking, a new communication cable will need to be wired.
New Driver Installation Instructions:
Note: When changing to a new driver, the filename will be the same, but the verison number changes.
1) From the C:\Designer directory, make a back-up of the existing UPLC82.DLL driver.
2) Copy the new driver file attached below to that directory to replace the old driver
3) Launch Designer programming software
4) From the Project/Change Controller Driver menu, click on the "Find All" button. This will refresh the driver selection screen.
5) Verify that the Galil/Yaskawa driver shows the latest version stated above.
6) If a project currently exists in the HMI Panel, it will be necessary to delete the old driver protocol from the HMI panel. This function is under TRANSFER>OPTIONS>ADVANCED OPTIONS>ERASE PROTOCOL, or to reset and clear the memory.
