FAQ: What are some possible causes for and FGN instruction error ?

The FGN is a very simple instruction, and there are only four error possibilities:
1) The number of data pairs must match the number defined in the top of the parameter table.
2) Discontinuous X data. X axis data must be increasing.
3) Incorrect data type
a) Input is float type but parameter table data is long type.
b) Input is long type but parameter table data is float type.
c) Input is word (16 bit) but parameter table data is 32 bit type (Long or Float.)
d) Input is 32 bit type (Float or Long) but parameter table data is word (16-bit)
4) Incorrect Output Register type.
Output must be a writable type. This excludes I, C, and # type.
Input and Parameter Table registers can be of any type.
