Yes. In addition to the MotionWorks IEC compiler "Help on Message," which states:
You have used a wrong identifier. According to IEC 61131-3 identifier are strings of letters or digits and underscores which must begin with a letter or an underscore. The use of multiple leading or embedded underscores is not allowed.
The following situation will also cause the Illegal Identifier message:
If making a STRING literal, such as STRING#"MC=TRUE" - do not use double quotes around the text. Single quotes must be used.
