FAQ: Is there information available on replacing a Sigma-5 Mechatrolink ServoPack in a system controlled by an MPiec Series Controller without using MotionWorks IEC software?

Yes. This Servopack replacement procedure requires MPiec controller's firmware version to be 2.2.1 or above:
1. Login to the MPiec webserver.
2. Select the "Drive Parameters" page.
3. Under "User Parameters" select "Write" for the replaced servopack(s). The parameters are saved into the replaced Servopack.
4. Cycle power on the system.
5. After the system reboots, under "User Parameters," press Verify to confirm that there is no unexpected mismatch. Note that some IEC applications may be programmed to set certain Servopack parameters, which may be different than the backup image of parameters stored in the MPiec controller.
