Equal Employment Opportunity

It is the policy of YEA to provide equal opportunity in employment for all qualified persons who meet specific job requirements established by YEA, while prohibiting discrimination in employment because of race, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, and veteran status.

Title I of the Americans with Disability Act prohibits discrimination in any terms or conditions of employment for qualified individuals with a disability.  Accordingly, employment decisions at YEA are based on the ability of the individual to perform the job defined in the position description and not on the person's disability or limitations.  Further, it is the philosophy and practice of YEA, where necessary, to make reasonable accommodations to the qualified individuals with a disability.

It has been the established personnel policy of YEA to effectively utilize our available labor resources by selecting the best qualified person for the job to be performed.  We have always given appropriate attention to such factors as educational background, previous experience, proven skills, and potential for growth and development.  The personnel we have hired and promoted in the past and those to be hired and promoted in the future have been and will continue to be selected from all applicants on the basis of qualifications which we feel are essential in order that an associate may perform well.  These include such factors as:

1.    experience
2.    capability
3.    aptitude
4.    ability
5.    availability
6.    willingness to work and serve the Company

YEA, however, is and will remain flexible.

It shall be the responsibility of all associates to abide by and carry out the letter, spirit and intent of YEA's equal employment commitment.  It is prohibited for any associate of YEA to refuse to hire, train, promote or provide equitable employment conditions to any associate or applicant, or to discipline or dismiss an associate solely on the basis of such person's race, national origin, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, mental or physical disability, or military status.

AMENDMENT AND TERMINATION

YEA, acting through its President/COO in its nonfiduciary capacity as settlor of this policy and with or without Board approval, reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to terminate, amend or modify this policy, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, prospectively or retroactively and with or without advance notice.
