DeviceNet

DeviceNet (Device Network), is a protocol that is owned and regulated by the ODVA (Open Device Vendors Association). This protocol is an RS-485 based fieldbus network capable of multidrop nodes. It is a widely popular fieldbus network that is complemented by its Ethernet counterpart, EtherNet/IP

ODVA, Open Device Vendors Association, is a member organization that promotes and regulates the CIP (Common Industrial Protocols).
