Choosing a Servo - Linear
A RANGE OF LINEAR MOTION OPTIONSYaskawa linear motors simplify mechanical design by eliminating chains, belts, and screws, while offering higher performance, greater accuracy, and minimal maintenance. The coreless design of the SGLG series provides the smoothest, cog-free movement. The compact iron-core design of the SGLF2 and SGLF series is well-suited to tight spaces, while the magnetic attraction force adds bearing preload and mechanical damping, improving settling times. The balanced magnetic structure of the SGLT series yields greater physical force than a single-track iron-core design while maintaining the magnets' attractive force. Maximum ease of implementation is achieved with Sigma Trac II, a pre-assembled linear stage complete with motor, feedback, and cable management, creating a bolt-on, ready-to-use linear motion system.
