HV600 Drive

Yes, the HV600 will have Emergency Override functionality with several important enhancements as standard.

Wired connections between DriveWizard Mobile and the Yaskawa AC drive require mobile devices support USB -OTG. Most Android mobile devices include USB-OTG, however Apple mobile devices do not; therefore, the only way Apple devices can communicate with Yaskawa drive is via Bluetooth, which requires the optional Bluetooth version of the keypad. Android mobile devices support both methods (cable connection and Bluetooth).

DriveWizard® Mobile with the HV600 requires mobile devices to support USB-OTG (USB On-The-Go). Most Android mobile devices include USB-OTG, but most Apple mobile devices do not.

HV600 drives are made at Yaskawa’s Buffalo Grove, Illinois, facility. Packages come from our Oak Creek, Wisconsin location.

DriveWizard HVAC supports parameter set conversion from previous products to HV600.

There are several ways the HV600 makes the complicated simple. First, it comes with a suite of documentation included in the box, including a full-size drilling template. Next, it can be programmed without the need to connect main three-phase power, via a wired connection to a smart device. Also, anyone familiar with the Z1000 can easily program an HV600 with the same, familiar parameter set.

Yaskawa DriveCloud is free storage for your specific configuration information pertaining to your drives. It allows you to store things like parameter sets, application notes, photos, etc. unique to each of your Yaskawa drives with their own serial number and your account credentials. Your information is secure and only accessible by you. DriveWizard Mobile and the DriveCloud support these Yaskawa AC drive products: GA800, GA500, FP605, HV600, and HV600 Bypasses. DriveWizard Mobile supports the newest generation of Yaskawa AC drives and does not support previous generation Yaskawa AC drives.

It provides colorful intuitive drive programming, parameter backup, cloud access, troubleshooting help, and access to mobile-friendly instructions. There are three types of drives available as standard: IP20/UL Type 1 and IP55/UL Type 12, and IP20/Protected Chassis for larger horsepower models.

The HV600 carton includes a paper copy of the following new documents to make the complicated simple.

• Newly designed Quick Start Procedure – very similar to simple diagram-based instructions as seen with consumer products.
• Installation and Primary Operation – manual including mechanical, electrical and basic programming
• Mounting templates – included for frames 1 through 6 for the customer to easily lay out panels for drilling prior to mounting.
  The comprehensive technical manual (>1000 pages) does not ship with each drive but is available online and also available in a hard copy via Yaskawa literature fulfillment.

Same as Z1000. BACnet MSTP, Siemens APOGEE FLN, Johnson Controls Metasys N2, and Modbus RTU are built-in. Also available as options are LonWorks, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP.

• IP55/UL Type 12: 208V, 3 to 40 HP; 480V, 3 to 100 HP

The new DriveWizard HVAC has not only undergone a cosmetic upgrade, but it also has a new feature to support the HV600 data logging function.  It is compatible with the new generation of drives like HV600, the 1000 series, and previous generations already supported.  It also supports parameter set conversion from Z1000 to HV600 and works seamlessly with DriveWizard Mobile parameter sets.

The HV600 features a completely redesigned HOA keypad with tactile buttons and a brighter, crisper display capable of conveying much more information at a glance. In addition, like its industrial cousins, every HV600 sports a bright, multi-colored LED Status Ring that provides a clear indication of drive status at all times.

At product release, UL Type 1, UL Type 12, and UL Type 3R enclosure packages will be available in 208 V, 240 V, and 480 V models with a limited range of options with new, smaller dimensions.

We’ve listened to our customers - contractors, building automation designers, consultants, and of course, our own people to design a better HVAC drive from Yaskawa. The HV600 will provide customers with several new features to improve both the ease of use and operation of our HVAC drives. These include a greatly enhanced keypad design, a status ring on every drive for clear status indication, and programming with mobile smart devices.

We expect a two-year transition to completely replace the Z1000. During that transition period, the Z1000 price will increase as production quantities diminish.
