The VG3 or VCD703 - Vector Drive uses terminals 30 and 31 as inputs for a motor thermistor. With no thermistor connected, the drive faults immediately. The V7 Drive Jog Reference (S7) command is given. Why doesn't the motor move? Posted Date: 07/13/2004 Answer: The Jog Reference is not a 'run' command. It merely switches the speed reference from the selected frequency reference (terminal FR for example) to the internal Jog frequency reference (n032). To make the drive run at jog frequency, energize both the run command (S1) and the Jog Reference(S7). As an alternative to wiring a second digital input: A "Jog Forward" command can be achieved on the V7 by adding a diode (common Radio Shack rectifier diode). The following conditions have to be met... 1. The digital inputs must be set to "NPN" . 2. The drive must be set for "2-wire control" Add the diode between the jog input (S7 for this example) and the Run input. Anode towards S1, and Cathode towards S7. Note: Earlier versions of the V7 Drive were named GPD 315/V7, GPD 315 or VS Mini V7. The Motionworks IEC software stopped running after installing InteractX software? How can I recover from this? Posted Date: 03/04/2010 Answer: The InteractX software removes a required registry item required by MotionWorks IEC. To correct this issue: 1. Navigate to the installed location of Motionworks IEC (usually C:\Program Files\Yaskawa\MotionWorks IEC Pro). 2. Run the SETUPEX.EXE file by double clicking. 3. Reboot the computer. MotionWorks IEC should be able to run again.
