There are provisions to activate a license by phone, or to activate a license by emailing a file created from the PC that is to be licensed, but there are no provisions to re-host (deactivate/check in) an existing license without access to the Internet. Posted Date: 06/21/2013 Answer: The web interface for MPiec controllers provides a quick means to check system status and perform test moves via an Ethernet connection. The Machine Operations hyperlink will allow the user to manipulate and exercise the motion axes. On some computer systems, an error message will be generated that indicates "Socket Communication Applet Unavailable". This is likely caused by a missing or incompatible version of the Java Runtime Engine as an add-on to the web browser. The web interface requires Java version 1.4.2 or higher from Sun Microsystems. Combinations involving controller firmware, operating system, explorer version and Java version tested by Yaskawa are shown in the attached. If you continue to experience problems, install the most recent version which is supported by your MPiec Controller.
